Ceramic Tokoname / Kutani teapot, made in Japan
Taste your tea with this tokoname teapot, hand painted using an ancestral technique.
Tokoname production dates back to the Heian period (794-1185). At the time, this type of teapot was used for purposes related to Buddhism.
Kutani ceramic is a style of Japanese porcelain traditionally from Kutani (today Kaga, Ishikawa). It is often marked by bold and vivid colors, initially designed to bring cheerfulness to the inhabitants of the Hokuriku region during long and cold winters. The patterns represent landscapes or characters and generally cover the entire room.
In order to keep your Tokoname-Kutani teapot longer, please take note of certain precautions during handling:
- This product is very fragile, the different parts that make it up cannot be removed. During cleaning, avoid pressing the filter.
- To make it easier to clean the teapot, remember to throw away the tea leaves immediately after use.
- Do not put in the microwave oven and in case of crack, do not use the product.
